The The Spirit of the
Sovereign Lord is on me,
because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim
good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up
the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom
for the captives and release from darkness
for the prisoners,
to proclaim the year of
the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance
of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those
who grieve in Zion—
to bestow on them
a crown of beauty instead of ashes,
the oil of joy
instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called
oaks of righteousness,
a planting of the Lord for
the display of his splendor.
They will rebuild the
ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated; they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations.
Isaiah 61:1-4

We experience seasons of painful loss and surprising resurrection, in-between times of waiting and wondering, of release and ascension—and a growing outpouring of the Spirit’s transforming life into ours. What invitation am I being offered to walk with Jesus in my present season? Which re-creating and life-giving connections do the seasons of Jesus’ life journey hold for my journey today? This retreat helps unpack the special rhythms of Jesus’ life that offer transformation to ours. It helps us relax and make peace with our real lives, saying yes to God’s movement in our journey today!
We’ll reflect on these seasons:
Cana: Life is good, things are progressing, my problems are fixable
Good Friday: Calamity, loss, the death of something precious
Easter Sunday: God offering new life inside my loss
The 40 Days: Mourning death of the old, adjusting to the new
Ascension: Releasing the old, letting it “ascend” with Jesus
Pentecost: Receiving the fullness of God’s Spirit into my true situation
Please join us for this unique retreat!
