The The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion— to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor. They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated; they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations.
Isaiah 61:1-4
Preparing for the Year of the Lord’s Favor
The retreat day will focus on the invitation to recognize our need for forgiveness as those Jesus describes as “the poor, the captives, the blind and the oppressed” Luke 4:17-20.
Because of our misunderstanding of what it means to forgive another, we often live lives diminished and defined by what happened to us through the actions or inactions of others. The content of this day of retreat is intended to give you teaching, tools and time to walk through the experience of forgiveness that brings real freedom and peace. It is intended to contribute to the journey of healing and wholeness as we seek to live in rightly ordered relationship with God, ourselves, and others, empowering us to experience the favor more fully.
Please join us for this unique retreat!
